Good and clean facilities, with everything you need in the kitchen. Supermarket and petrol station nearby. Great location for traveling by car to other coastal areas.
No shower, only a deep bath which may not be suitable for elderly guests. Sloped ceilings in bedrooms and bathroom can be low.

The cottage was immaculate and had everything I needed for a comfortable holiday. The personal touches and welcome pack were a lovely touch. The location was perfect, with easy access to the town and a supermarket nearby. Although I prefer a shower over a bath, it was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall amazing experience. I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. I was thoroughly impressed with my stay at Fortunatus and would definitely return in the future.

Had a blast golfing, fishing, and cycling in the area. The cottage's private beach was a bonus. Free WiFi kept me connected, and the garden was a lovely spot to relax. Natural beauty everywhere!
Oh, how I loved holding onto the shower for dear life, trying to get the temperature right. Such a thrilling experience!

We got excellent value for our money with a well-equipped and comfortable cottage. The personal touches and welcome pack, including toys for the kids and ice cubes, were amazing. The cottage's proximity to a supermarket made self-catering a breeze, and Whitby's dining options were plentiful. The information leaflets and friendly neighbors were also a plus.
The breakfast offerings could be improved with a better shower option. Although the large bath made up for it, having a shower that you have to hold and adjust the temperature was a minor inconvenience.

We had an exceptional stay at this lovely cottage in Whitby. Everything was immaculate and the cottage had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and there were thoughtful finishing touches throughout. We especially loved the welcome pack and the toys provided for the children. The location was convenient, with a supermarket nearby for easy self-catering and plenty of options for dining out in Whitby. The information leaflets and friendly neighbors were also a plus. Despite a few minor drawbacks such as the absence of a shower and a deep bath that was difficult for my elderly mother to access, our overall experience was fantastic. We highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

Clean, peaceful, and well-equipped cottage. The comfort of the beds and sofas was exceptional. The presence of a downstairs cloakroom and a lovely upstairs bathroom was a plus. The cottage was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations and had lovely finishing touches. The proximity to a nearby supermarket made it convenient for self-catering. The welcome pack, including biscuits, crisps, chocolate, and a bottle of wine, was a thoughtful gesture.
The lack of a shower in the cottage was a personal preference, but everything else was perfect.
